The continued operation of TRAK is made possible by the organizations and individuals who want these important services available for the children and those in need throughout Tucson. TRAK could not accomplish this goal without the generous help of its many donors, volunteers, board of directors, and dedicated staff.
Scott was born and raised as a “city boy” in Scottsdale, AZ, spending his weekends fishing. At age ten, his family moved to a 20 acre ranch in New Mexico, where his closest neighbor was a race jockey and horse breeder. Scott spent every bit of his spare time with that neighbor, who became his mentor, teaching him all about horses: training, riding, breeding, farrier duties, all along with a strong work ethic. After high school, Scott worked for his father in their family tire shop and on the family cattle farm with livestock ranging from cattle to pigs, sheep and chickens. At age 30, Scott moved to Mexico and ran the Club Med horse program, while simultaneously running the Santosa Breeding Stables in Tucson. In 2007, TRAK was established by Scott with his wife, Jill.
Their three adult daughters spent their formative years enjoying all that TRAK has to offer. Scott’s hobbies are fishing and off-road racing.
Jill has a Master’s Degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances. She has taught in psychiatric facilities, residential treatment centers and in the psychoeducational field in the public school system. In her past programs, she offered the youth opportunities to volunteer in their community. Through these experiences she has found that service is a powerful way to build a person’s self-esteem.
Erin is TRAK’s Office Manager, and she has an extensive background in customer service, office management , administration and accounting. She first came through the gates of TRAK as a volunteer with her 3 daughters, and instantly fell in love with all aspects of the ranch. Erin is passionate about children, animals, and the community which makes TRAK her happy place, and the heart of what she does. Erin’s favorite TRAK animals are Cosmo the office Cat, Buck the Horse, and the baby goat brothers she named Toby & Keith.
“I have been in the Finance field for 27 years, I have an AAS in Accounting and recently became certified as a Quickbooks Online Pro Advisor. My passion is helping small businesses succeed and working with TRAK has allowed me to do just that. Outside of work I am a busy mom that loves to travel. A fun fact about me is math was always the subject I hated the most in school, yet here I am in finance. It is hard for me to choose a favorite animal at TRAK but it is between Tinka and Jake the bunny”.
